What is Intuitive Astrology?
Astrology is an ages-old symbolic language based on observation and interpretation of natural energies. Before electric lights, human life on Earth was guided by the rhythmic cycles of the heavenly bodies. To name a few basic examples, our ancestors observed movements of the Sun, Moon, stars, etc. helped determine times of planting and harvest, fortuitous marriage arrangements, and when rivers would rise. Astrology stems from a fundamental principle: "As Above, So Below. As Without, So Within." It is the symbolic study of the truth that everything is connected, and that there is a supreme divine intelligence operating through and within connectedness.
Intuition is the ability to grasp or know something directly and instantly, without going through a linear/logical process of "figuring out." We all experience intuition, and there are many ways to access it. The primary "extra senses" that contribute to intuition are: clairvoyance (seeing with the mind's eye), clairaudience (hearing with the mind's ear), clairsentience (felt sense in physical, emotional, and etheric bodies), and claircognizance (distinct inner knowing).
Intuitive Astrology is a meditative practice of synthesizing information to promote conscious awareness. The information comes from gazing at the living symbols contained in astrology charts as well as utilizing all senses to perceive the subtle field that is created when individuals join together in presence. Intuitive Astrology is a practice of deeply receptive listening, dialogue, reflection, and interpretation. It is an effective tool for affirming what is, accessing healing energy and insight, contextualizing our spiritual location, and anchoring wholeness and union within the self.
Virginia believes that everyone is inherently an intuitive astrologer. It is simply a matter of practicing perception, honing awareness, and uniting more deeply with nature itself.
What are Movement Arts?
Movement: changing location or position.
Movement Arts pertains to change in our bodies and minds. Movement is an effective tool for alchemy; the transformation of base matter into something refined and useful. Virginia works with movement on an individual and collective basis. She believes that embodiment arts can foster (r)evolution in self and society. Our bodies are inherently intelligent, and they are made to move. Our communities and loving social networks can facilitate healthy progress for human and spiritual development. Virginia creates space for conscious, cultivated movement in our bodies and in community.
