Full Moon in Pisces

The Full Moon in Pisces on September 2, 2020 (at 01:22EST) is for healing.

A Mending Moon.

Restoration and remedy in a time of loss and longing.

mend (verb)

  1. to free from fault or defect

  2. to set right; correct

  3. to put into good shape or working order again; repair

  4. to improve or strengthen (something, such as a relationship) by negotiation or conciliation

  5. to restore to health; cure

A Moon to solve problems, settle disputes, and imagine improvements.

A Moon to recognize suffering and request help.

A Moon for sending and answering prayers.

It is only when you heal and forgive...that the floodtide of burgeoning awareness of what is arising in this Earth, with all its ripples, can wipe away the false structures and foster the new birth…
— Ellias Lonsdale

Things fall apart, unravel, and eventually fall into place.

In a global time of intense change, this Moon is liminal space. A reverie. A magical, mundane moment like a midday tea break. Stop, sip, sense.

This Moon swells and whelms with feeling as we physiologically and emotionally process the losses and developments of the last 6 months. Worry. Anxiety. Grief. Inspiration. Confusion.

Let it all fill up, then empty out.

A Pisces Full Moon is a cleansing; a saltwater bath-tism. Release. Detox. Wring yourself out like a sponge.

The Sun and Mercury in Virgo wish for a clear-eyed plan and detailed instructions. But we are in a maze, and there are mists in our midst. Fog lingers in the valleys and changes our view of the map. There is no step-by-step guide or perfect way forward. We are guaranteed to get things wrong as we go.

Mistakes won’t stop us. They’ll refine our direction.

We will have to do our best, and sense acutely for the next accessible move.

Be in no hurry this next 6 months. Move deliberately and thoroughly, offering your own energy your undivided attention. Choose your battles. Give nothing extra. Waste no effort. Work your edge, respect your capacity, and hold the lines that need holding.

Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them.
— Albert Einstein

How do you restore when rest isn’t an option?

Restoration, recovery, revival are necessities and vital for the path ahead.

How do you soften when things are hard?

Soft is strong. Living. Resilient. We can do hard things. Soften to keep going.

What will you forgive yourself for?

Forgiveness as a courageous act. A decision. A permission and a gift we give to ourselves.

Under this Moon, say farewell to the dreams once held that turned out to be delusions. Not every dream will reveal itself to be an unreliable apparition. These are simply no longer viable - not a realistic match for who you are today.

Realer dreams await you. Make room to receive the ones that thirst for you. Disappear into the dreams that long for you.

Imagineering; a cure for what ails us.

imagination + engineering

Take imagination seriously. Imagination led us to this point. For many, reality is obscured due to a lack of imagination. As a result, the wild imaginings of a few people in power dictate life for the many.

But the power of imagination is free and readily available for anyone and everyone to tap into and utilize. And our dreams are better than this.

Our dreams are calling, irresistible. Our longings are the wild planes from which material reality arises.

It is possible to live as if everything is a miracle. Start now.

Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality.
— Lewis Carroll

Though times are puzzling and perplexing, it’s not that complicated. Life is elegantly simple. Magic is real. Solutions exist, if we allow them. Imagine them, and see to their making.

Here in a liminal space-time, we are waiting for the chips to land. In the meantime, before crystal clarity arrives, we surrender to some plan we cannot see.

Sometimes, we have to let go and let Gxd. This is one of those times.

Some things can’t be helped or fixed. But everything can be blessed. You can always ask for help. And healing is innate.

Dream on.

Aries: I am strong enough to surrender.

There is something I’ve been sheltering within me, and I’m not so sure it needs my protection anymore. Some long-term dreams I’ve held are coming to a natural conclusion, while others are just beginning to emerge. I wait. Before moving forward, I step back. I grieve the lives I’ve lived thusfar. I surrender resistance to my own undoing - and my fated wonderfulness. Do the things that I hold most dear have a place in the wider world? I’ll never know until I introduce the world and my beloveds, and see if they get along. This Moon tunes me in to my most long-lasting desires. It asks me what I need to be well. I meditate on that.

Taurus: I welcome genuine connection.

So much to see, so much to say. Right now, I get to be a mover. An observer. A pollinator, dipping in and out of lovely landscapes, and expressing myself freely. I am a speaker of truths and weaver of stories. The tales I share spin webs of connection. I am the hub of collectivist conversations. I bring people together in pursuit of truth, of knowledge, of understanding. We meet each other with more questions than answers. Trade our beliefs for perceptions and direct experiences. Harmonizing variant observations to cultivate curious community that will sustain us in times of living and dying. I want to know the limits; the real edge of our relationships, so I can be certain who to trust, what we are building, and where to soften into our joinings.

Gemini: I take up space.

I appreciate myself for showing up in the world. Putting myself out there is no small task. Despite times of doubt and reticence, I am committed to growing in public - that’s what true teachers do. This Moon shines its beams on my public life, my work in the world, my contribution. What goals and successes can I celebrate myself for in this regard? What am I most dedicated to? Is it obvious what I care about? This Moon feels like a culmination. I recognize the years of attention and effort that got me here. I honor all that legacy, and look to the future by making intentional investments of my time, resources, and care. Because generosity and right-relationship matters.

Cancer: I open myself up.

This Moon shines a light on new spaces I can inhabit. It heralds a perspective shift. I am invited to see with new eyes, to focus on the world with a different lens than the one I typically use. This requires me to relinquish small-mindedness and open to conversation. I make some space between my own mind and the ideas that belong to my family. I am allowed to explore alternate beliefs. It is normal to change my mind. I am curious who I could be if I looked to the horizon. I wonder what I might discover if I connect the dots. It is safe to ask questions. I invite myself to open up and grow beyond my comfort zone. I trust myself to draw logical and intuitive conclusions that affirm life.

Leo:  I embrace total transformation.

Change is mysterious. The mystery of change can feel frightful - but stagnation and stasis come with their own kind of dull pain. I choose to change so I can be more alive. I choose to change so I can know my own essence. Becoming more intimate with myself (and my beloveds, and life itself) requires shedding what’s no longer needed. This Moon shines a light on what could be possible if I compost the cultural and ancestral burdens I won’t perpetuate. Some things can no longer be carried. I am willing to see the things in me that I would rather hide from myself. I recognize that choosing to let go on some of the deepest levels may scare me - but it will also heal me. Hear me: I am ready to heal.

Virgo: I appreciate the loves in my life.

Active appreciation is a most potent form of medicine. I turn it on, and watch as my life and all the sacred things within it heal-by-blessing. Under the light of this Full Moon, I look for things to praise. I practice the art of savoring. I step out of old loops that emphasize disconnect. Instead, I make it a habit to cultivate my preferred feelings. I accentuate where connection can happen and is happening - even in the smallest moments I sometimes overlook. I choose to accept myself fully, exactly as I am right now. I choose to embody deep presence, even in the face of discomfort, dead-ends, and unknowns. I am resourceful. Together with the loves in my life, we dig deep and create more of what we desire.

Libra: I honor my natural rhythms.

I am repatterning my life. Getting into a rhythm that reflects the true needs of my body, mind, and spirit. Replacing historical habit patterns with rituals that maintain my well-being. As society-as-we-knew-it collapses, I listen close for internal motivations. I let the quietest voices and tiniest impulses take precedent in guiding my behavior. I notice where I’ve been out-of-balance and bring things back to beauty. I know myself as a person who helps to tip the scales. No longer willing to settle for a semblance of rightness - reciprocity is now a requirement for my relating.  I can, and will, ask for what I need. I can comfort myself within conflict. Of this I am certain: love will meet me where I’m at.

Scorpio: I satisfy myself.

I am my own masterpiece. My life is a work of art. I don’t expect to be seen or understood (though it’s a succulent bonus when I am). I waste no time explaining myself (unless I genuinely enjoy hearing myself talk). Not a drop of my life force will go towards convincing anyone of anything. I just live the way I love to. Centering joy. Investing in my beliefs. Consistently learning. My actions and creations speak for themselves. I intentionally create ways of showing up, working, and dealing in the day-to-day, that demonstrate what I am devoted to building in the world. The people who feel me come closer in. I am a private person, but I find solace in these genuine connections.

Sagittarius: Home is a place, inside and out.

Dreams are rising from the roots. Pay attention. In them, find imprints of home. Do these visions detail a permanent home of your highest ideals, or the next best step within reach? Ancestral memories, mirages, and magic are part of the mix. Where do your people live? What did home mean to them? What makes a fertile, supportive place to shelter? Call in your wise and supportive predecessors to guide and show your way to clear-minded investments. Appraise your available resources, and seek the best longterm use for them. What gives you solace? Keep it close.

Capricorn: I learn the art of understanding.

There is a quote from an unknown source, that most conflict and strife is the result of misunderstanding. Somewhere along the way, I learned about myself as separate. Distinct from others and the world around me. But in the last couple of years, I feel more and more that what’s happening in the world is a direct reflection of an incredible transformation I’ve been enduring. I feel innately a part of things, rather than apart from them. I feel that the bones in my body are made of the same stuff as stones in the Earth. I am more alike with this planet and the creatures here than I knew. I am committed to curiosity - to learning more about things I have misconstrued or falsely believed. I dialogue to learn more, and seek language to assist comprehension.

Aquarius: I treasure what feeds me.

This Moon shines a light on my resources. This includes money, assets, income, and valuables of all kinds - and it also includes the skills I possess that can generate income. I am full up with everything I need. I’m good. I treasure the materials and skills that bring life, light, and joy into my life. What does it feel like to receive and take in materials that sustain me? Can I soften to receive more? This Moon invites me to savor and simplify. I get down to the basics that make life feel pleasurable and valuable. It gives me joy to share the wealth.

Pisces: I am everything, and I’m in love.

If imagination is the medicine we need, I’m at your service. Let’s make sweet love, sweet music, and dream the world awake. A Full Moon falling in my sign highlights my gifts of mysticism, romance, and whimsy. Pisces is known as a selfless archetype, yet today I fill up to overflowing with selfness. Selfless selfness? I offer myself the super compassion I dole out to every other being in both seen and unseen realms. I’m not here to save this world. I am here to rescue my energies on behalf of my own spiritual directive. Because I am worth it. And the love that pours through me is boundless and unlimited. It keeps giving, and I keep filling up, emptying out, and resonating like the instrument I am.
