The Wisdom of the Body
Our bodies are an extension of Earth. Our bodies hold remembrance of our entire history and the lives of our ancestors. Our bodies are home to instinct, emotion, pleasure, grief, natural rhythm. They are incredibly intricate systems in balance. Our bodies are living miracles.
Our bodies are made to move. In simply taking a morning walk, the mind begins to clear and a sense of peace is automatically restored. Whereas our minds are thinking centers, the body is our feeling center. By tuning into our bodies and engaging in intentional movement, we can bypass stress and confusion in the mind and return to a place of clarity and a deep sense of self-knowing.
To fully inhabit our bodies is coming into presence.
What is Sacred Movement?
Sacred Movement is just that: coming into presence with your body.
Feeling yourself, your truth, and your essence through moving your body with awareness. Movement is an immediate, effective, time-tested way to feel more deeply connected with yourself and something greater than yourself.
Movement is a doorway to connect with and embody the Divine.
Sacred Movement comes in many different forms and is accessible to all people, no matter what age or mobility. It can be simple or complex. It can be as easy as focusing your attention on one finger and feeling the sensation of moving it very slowly.
